ajremixSo, in a fit of me needing to keep my mind off things that are making me stress the hell out, I'm putting this up for... pretty much just today. You can challenge as many times as you like, just please keep it to three prompts per comment.
You can ask for anything you see in my interests on my profile page. For the most part. If you challenge me for some series I haven't looked into in ages, I may have to decline on account of alzheimer's.

Third thought it extremely unfair that Kai made such a tempting target whenever he slept in trees- an arm or leg (or the tails of his bandana) dangling over the branch, just itching to be tugged on -except whenever he did, Third always got smacked around (on top of having the much heavier Tracer falling on him which was the part that Third thought was most unfair).

The first time Chopper spent the night on the Going Merry Luffy had demanded he sleep in the same hammock as the super cool mystery deer- Chopper survived that night by stuffing a pillow in Luffy's mouth when the captain started gnawing on his leg.

Shinji cleared his throat, shuffled some papers and enjoyed watching how the boy (obviously way in over his head with this) shifted nervously when Lisa tapped her powerfully ugly stomping boots, "So, what makes you think you're worthy enough to date our Hiyori?"

Haruhi should've known better to explain that the reason she was so haggard-looking was because she had gone to a Pillows show last night, Tamaki crying about how late nights and loud music would ruin his poor daughter's health- up until Mori took pity and put Tamaki in his time-out corner.

Some Tracers were utterly incorrigible- one such being Hunter who Cowlan found sitting at his desk talking the gunny's wife who he had to put on hold while he had to get something else printed out making Cowlan scowl at her and shake her from his chair with a resounding "Stop that!"

When Nemu walked in, Akon couldn't help saying she was certainly a sight to behold and when Mayuri just scoffed Akon had to roll his eyes- he obviously couldn't tell when someone had come back from some very good sex.

"You gotta be fuckin' me," Ikkaku said, looking at the group Yachiru had brought with her because they were no help in helping her tie her waraji, "it's so fuckin' simple- look the bunny goes around the tree..."

While Tio was used to Third and Kai somehow managing to play with whatever food was placed before them, he had seriously hoped the far more impressionable Q wouldn't be dragged into it (though Q had the creative genius to sculpt the garlic bread and use it as a structured base).

They watched Iba and Hisagi glare each other down- self proclaimed rivals for Matsumoto's attention -and Renji had to ask, "Did the 'bros before hos' clause have some sort of statute I wasn't previously aware of?"

When Yumichika announced Nemu as Ikkaku's new girlfriend, the bartender rolled his eyes- but when he went on to say she had gotten him in the habit of changing his clothes every day and everyone suddenly swamped her in awe, Ikkaku (naturally) snapped.

Kyouya wondered why he didn't think of this sooner- putting Mori in charge of Tamaki was like a vacation; every time the blonde got over excited, the taller boy just tucked him under his arm and put him in a corner until he calmed down.

Ikkaku tried to stiffle a snort into his drink as Yumichika went on about how some new member of the SWA had dragged him all the way the meeting only so he could storm out when the veteran members cackled hysterically at him.

When they go to their respective divisions after meetings or a night out or just hanging around, it wasn't a metaphor for anything- they weren't drifting apart, they weren't spending less time together, they weren't any less friends then they were before they had their own responsibilites and their own people to look after and their duties that had nothing to do with each other-
In fact, as a cry suddenly went up and three different officers suddenly hot-footed it back to their own divisions, it was probably better having them separated.
Zaraki, Unohana + Tradition
"The tea ceremony is a very distinguished tradition- thank you for indulging me like this," Unohana said as a stream of gently steaming liquid arched gracefully into a cup while Zaraki- recovering and under threat of sedation -grumbled out "whatever" into his own cup.
Yachiru + Might have been
She might have been picked up by a kindly old family that was going to pass through the blood-drenched field hours later, or she could have crawled into the dirt road a young woman was traveling on her way to an arranged marriage, should could have even died out there and not have become anything (but she became none of these and became, instead, something so much greater and she never dwelled on what could have been because what was important was who she is now).

He didn't ask what she was thinking of when he refilled her drink, her golden fall of hair soft against his shoulder and her eyes distant and only the soft words of 'I'm such a fool' passing through her lips.

They used to watch the fireworks as children, having stolen up ontop a temple's roof, munching on fresh plums their quick little fingers rolled into the folds of their clothes earlier that day.

Hitsugaya always had the habit of ignoring personal ailments in favor of keeping on top of work so when he started coughing and his face became flush, Hinamori gave him a small tin of cold medicine and told him it was candy (which he believed until he actually put on in his mouth).

Hisagi, Rangiku + the past
He hurt a lot of people in the past and never tried to explain to anyone why he did it- even now, years later, if his name came up a lot of people would crack their knuckles angrily (Rangiku, though, would frown and look away and when she fisted her hands it wasn't out of anger, but to keep the loneliness at bay).

The end of the street wars should've made everything better, should've restored everyone's faith in their neighbors and their communities, but as she watch Retsu run herself into the ground, trying to keep her family together, her children together, herself together, Rangiku didn't have the courage to ask the older woman to do the same for her.

Rangiku never cried in front of others- always did it in the rain or in the shower where no one could see her -but Tetsu always seem to know when she did, pulling her out of the storm and into his protective embrace.
Ikkaku, Rangiku + trust
She couldn't see his face as he pressed his ear to her belly, hand warm against the swell, but she could hear it in his voice when he said he wanted to be a part of the baby's life that the trust between them had never truly gone away.

It's not that Ikkaku didn't understand why Iba and Hisagi did what they did- he understood all too well -it's just that he thought it was pretty stupid of them to try to stop Zaraki-taichou (or him or Yumichika) from getting to that one glorious battle that he would've been proud to die fighting.
Iba, Rangiku + Inter-divisional relations
Rangiku was coming by his division more and more and Iba loved being able to rub that fact in Hisagi's face- except for the part where Iba was pretty certain she was coming by more often just to try and pet Komamura-taichou's ears.

Aizen sighed to himself, taking slow steps as he moved around Hueco Mundo- while breaking his glasses had such a wonderful dramatic affect, he could now barely see where he was walking.

When Ulquiorra asked what Yammi was going to do now that he had his arm back the larger Arrancar gripped his fist like a hammer of steel and titanium and said he was going tear the hatted fag and his dark-skinned bitch apart.

When Kurotsuchi-taichou had ordered Akon and his staff to find every piece of information on the hougyoku the scientist was surprised- the captain seemed to sincerely care more about stopping whatever the object was capable of doing than studying its limits.

Forte would've prefered to have kept trudging on, but Rock was complaining about the cold and the rain and, really, Forte couldn't be all that upset when he has the smaller robot curled up under his arm.
Quick, Ring (i'm hoping i get this right, it's been so long since i last read ec)
Even though Ring was only just recovering from a wound inflicted by a silver blade, Quick still talked passionately about when a day when they wouldn't have to worry about walking down the streets, or who knew what the two of them were and Ring would quietly hope they would both live to see such a day.
