[challenge] Stump Me

A) Go to my fics and pick out a line or two from one of my stories. These stories can only be from the months of June to December.
B) I will respond with which story I think it's from.
C) Points and a mini-drabble (that's a few lines, by my definition) to anyone who stumps me

Date: 2005-12-09 11:04 pm (UTC)So what he didn’t understand was how Unohana managed to not only calm people down just by being there but intimidate even his own men, moving between the two seamlessly. It was like a switch that either pointed to ‘serene’ or… ‘weird’.
He caught her once while she was in her ‘weird’ mood, shocked- genuinely shocked –to find that she even managed to put laid-back Kyouraku on edge when she was like that. Frowning, Zaraki had to ask, “How the hell can you go from nice to freakish like that?”
She smiled back brightly. “Natural talent.”

It was right before practice and he found her scouring through the cuboards of the clubhouse.
"What," Hiruma asked, "are you looking for?"
"A spoon."
He frowned. "A spoon? What the hell for?"
Mamori finally stood and looked at him, in her hand was a jello cup. "So I can eat this. I didn't have time for lunch and I'm hungry."
Hiruma snorted, tossing his bag onto the table. "Well we don't have spoons. Eat with your fuckin' fingers."
She looked aghast. "My fingers?"
"'S why they're there, right?"
She glared at him for a long moment. "....FINE." And she peeled back the top of the cup.
Surprised that she actually took his advice, Hiruma couldn't help but to watch as she dug into the flourescent green treat, watching the jiggling thing break over her fingers and the way she sucked and licked her hand clean of every small, gelatinous piece.
Oh, fuck him. That was a bad, bad idea.
