Then, after taking a few breathes, I just slowly eased it out, working it bit by bit and I never saw anyone so relieved in my life-.”

Lee cut himself off as he registered Ten Ten’s beyond-horrified look and Neji stumbling away, mumbling something about ‘brain floss’.

“W-Wait, I still haven’t told you how we got the other three thorns out!”

Oh. He should have said that it was a thorn he was pulling out. That way, he would become a better story-teller. ^_^
