[challenge] 1-Sentence Challenge

Well, surprise surprise. Slow day at work and no more classes to prepare for for a while. So, to deal with a few more hours of nothing, it's challenge time again (challenges? i do those?)! Let's go ahead and expand what fandoms from what I've usually done in challenges, yes?

Give me a character and/or prompt from:

-Transformers (nominally g1)
-DC comics (jli-era, young justice-era, blue beetle v3, birds of prey are my areas of comfort, though general dcu may work)
-Star Wars (specifically original trilogy, republic commando and clone wars series)

and you'll get a sentence (or... three) in return. You can give up to two prompts at a time. Once your prompts have been fulfilled, you can ask for more.

Luke, new Jedi: pranks

It wasn't a pointless prank, Luke had told the young padawans, it was also training and as the group of younglings huddled in a corner, trying to stifle their laughter and their presence in the Force as angry muttering went past, it was the best training they ever had.

Perceptor, Scarab: being contrary

Jaime couldn't help think a) Scarab needed better timing to display its new-found attitude, and b) his little sister was a terrible, terrible influence as the big robot scientist trying to address the Scarab in the boy's back was flabbergasted by the Scarab repeating everything he said.

Anakin looked as though he might jump out the window, while the man in the middle of the room just blinked bemusedly at her barging in, demanding explanations right up until she laid eyes on him and his sudden look of understanding followed by an "Oh!!!" somehow seemed oddly normal in the midst of so much strangeness.

Windu, Luke: sense of humor

Luke just stared at him, floored at the idea that Mace Windu actually made a joke; Windu's solemn, hard face cracked with the tiniest of smirks, "Didn't your Master teach you not to judge on appearance?"

Ironhide, Jaime: partners in crime (so does this mean you'll read jaime's run? =D?)

He felt kind of bad for the kid but... "The thing is attached to your spine," Ironhide told the boy on the other side of the bars, "unfortunately that means if we punish it for setting off the fire counter measures, we gotta punish you."

It was when Luke's face lit up at the sight of the little droid, glowing in unabashed delight while Anakin looked all sort of fond and smug and relieved all at the same time, that Padme finally realized who exactly Luke was.
