Title: Don’t Go There
Fandom: Bleach
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 300
Characters: Renji, Ikkaku, Yumichika
Summary: Technically it’s set pre-series, but there’s spoilers up to… uh, chapter 206, I believe.
“You told ‘im.”
“So you gonna help me out?”
Renji was ignored in favor of another accusatory, “You told ‘im.” Yumichika rolled his eyes and filled his drink.
“He did ask.” Yumichika pointed out.
“You told ‘im.”
“That’s been established. Will you answer his question?”
“I can’t believe you fuckin’ told ‘im! What the hell?”
Renji and Yumichika exchanged glances. One wary, the other annoyed. “Ikkaku-san-“
“Who else did you tell? Dammit, Yumichika- I only told you ‘cuz we got history. I don’t want this shit broadcasted!”
“And I told Renji because he’s your friend and he wants to be taught.” Came the dry reply. “Don’t tell me you suddenly don’t want to help him.”
Ikkaku glared at Yumichika. Then at Renji. Then he knocked back his drink and slammed the dish down. “Dammit.” He refilled it. “You know what’d happen if people knew? They’d transfer me to another division. Make me someone’s vice-captain. Hell, they’d try makin’ captain sooner or later.” He made a face as he lifted the dish. “Ain’t how I wanna go.” That, too, got kicked back.
“I won’t tell anyone.”
An eye opened and eyeballed Renji who looked honest and willing and so like the determined kid Ikkaku remembered after beating all the pansy 5th division crap out of him.
With a sigh, Ikkaku rubbed his head. “Alright, alright. I’ll help ya out.” He scowled again. “But you tell anyone about this- I don’t care what the reason –I’m telling Rukia-chan you wanna bone her brother.”
Renji flared brightly. “I do not!”
“You think that matters?”
Grumbling, Renji figured he could keep his mouth shut even without the ultimatum. “Fine, whatever.”
“Actually,” Yumichika said idly, “that would be kind of hot.”
Renji and Ikkaku boggled at him.
“Why the fuck do I talk to you?”
