Summary: Snow isn’t silent, but the moments are.
The apartment was dark save for the light coming through the window and filtering off the snowfall. The room was lined with the soft red-orange glow of the space heater.
(Mori had given her one because he heard the heating in apartments sometimes broke down and when he came by Haruhi’s house not long after, he found that Haruhi had given it to her downstairs neighbors because their father was laid off and they were hard up for money so he shrugged and sent his chauffeur out to buy another for her)
They laid on the floor together, not looking outside, not looking at each other. They watched the air around them, wrapped in the dark and silence and the presence next to them. Every once in a while one of them would sigh quietly or maybe stretch.
(her arm was like snow and his fingers pattered up and down the down the length like little flakes, building up pale drifts from wrist to fingertips, just because it was in reach, just because her hand was so warm and small in his)
Their reflections curved in the television, like two half moon cats. They stretch out lazily, the gray day a heavy blanket in the warmth of the apartment. It’s in the silence that they feel most connection, not having to say anything or do anything or expect anything from each other because they know instinctively what they want. Together they’re stable and calm and content- rocks in the chaotic swirl of everyday life. And these little moments help them realize how much they appreciate someone being there to support them when they can’t support themselves.
(for no reason, he moves onto his elbows and presses a kiss against Haruhi’s mouth, she smiles and pulls him down because she likes Mori’s lips there more then not)

I can't make up my mind about who should be with whom, but Mori/Haruhi's just one of my quiet loves XD

Personally I think I'd be okay with Haruhi and just about anyone (except honey). But really I just like seeing the lot of them interacting with each other period. It's a great, character-driven series.

My friend wants Honey to hit a growth spurt like Momiji did XD
