ajremixI've been wanting to do a drinking scene for a while now. But then I got sidetracked by something elseXDD
Title: Wingman

Characters: Hisagi, Ikkaku, Renji, Iba
Summary: I’ve been listening to Stephen Lynch again. Guess which song.
Off duty and no work tomorrow. What better way to celebrate twenty-four hours of freedom than an all-nighter in some seedy Rukongai bar? Buzzed by midday and well on their way to closing the place up- nothing could ruin the day.
“Yo, I need some help here.”
Except when someone said that.
They looked at Iba suspiciously. “Why?” Hisagi asked slowly. “What’s up?”
“That smokin’ chick I’ve been talkin’ to all night? Man, she’s all over me- there’s just one problem.”
Oh God, here it comes. “What?”
“I need one a ya to wingman for me.”
“Wingman?” Fuck. But they kept their expression mostly neutral. “Which one?”
“See the redhead?” Iba jerked his thumb over his shoulder. “The one sittin’ next ta her.”
Ikkaku narrowed his eyes in an attempt to cut through the blurring. “What? The mousy lookin’ chick?”
“Naw, behind her.”
They blanched. “Oh, fuck no!”
He scowled at them. “C’mon!” He smacked Ikkaku in the shoulder. “I helped ya out last month, ‘member?”
“Yeah, but that chick wasn’t the size of a fuckin’ house, either!”
“Guys, we got a pact. You gotta honor it.”
The three scowled into their drinks. “Yeah, yeah…” Curse their drunken sensibilities.
Iba grabbed three mixing sticks from the bar, breaking a third off one of them. He shuffled them around before holding the three in a fist. “All right, boys. Ante up.”
With a long suffering sigh, Renji plucked out the first stick. “FUCK!” And got the short end. Hisagi and Ikkaku slumped in relief. “Dammit…”
He slammed back the rest of the drink and ordered the strongest thing in the house- two of them. “An’ keep ‘em comin’ fer the rest of the night.” Renji told the bartender. Double fisting he followed Iba to the girls and his sordid fate.
With Renji taking the bullet it was up to Hisagi and Ikkaku to pick up his bill. But, judging from the girl and Renji’s expression, they signaled for the bartender again.
“All right,” Hisagi counted out his half of the bill- Ikkaku doing the same –and pointed behind him. “See the guy with the shades? Next to the two redheads? Anything the guys buy is on his tab.”
They snuck out of the bar and ran off the first chance they got. They may have made a pact and they were going to get an earful tomorrow, but Iba was the one gettin’ some and Renji looked like he’d have to drink the place dry before that chick got pretty enough to screw. No way they were going to be stuck with that.
