Summary: Spoilers for chapter 196. On the subject of the new kids.
So Ichigo felt immensely better after Rukia beat some sense into him. With the exception his jaw that hurt like hell and there was the beginnings of a foot-shaped bruise there. But, as a whole, he was feeling better.
Except for having to listen to his classmates and, by the end of the day, the whole rest of the dammed school.
“Who are they?”
“I don’t know. They don’t look like anyone I’ve ever seen, before.”
“Are they from another school?”
“What other school would let their students look like THAT?”
“They’re all freaks. They’re so creepy!”
“I don’t know. I think the red haired guy’s kind of cute.”
“Stop right there. He’s a thug! Just look at all the tattoos!”
“No way. What would thugs be doing in a high school?”
“Maybe they’re being forced to by the police or else they go to jail.”
“Pfft!”
“It could happen!”
“If that was true, why would they let that ba- er, one guy keep a bokuto?”
“Maybe they’re with the government.”
“Whatever!”
“Yeah! They’re secret agents an’ stuff and that’s why that little girl knocked out Kurosaki with one hit!”
“She kicked him, first.”
“With two hits!”
“Why would they be here? And why would they know Kurosaki?”
“Kurosaki’s always getting into trouble.”
“There’s no way they’d be working for the government looking like that.”
“Maybe they’re American CIA!”
“WHAT??”
“Yeah! They have blondes over there and girls with really big chests! And that tattoo guy’s almost as big as Sado and you know how big those American guys can get!”
“They wouldn’t send a little kid over, though.”
“Yeah. He looks like he should be in primary school.”
“Maybe they’re with the yakuza! You know how Kurosaki’s always getting into fights and stuff, right?”
“Hey, that’s actually not bad. They’re always doing weird things to themselves.”
“Yeah, tattoos, implants, hair dying.”
“How does that one guy have those feather thingies stick to him, anyway?”
“But why would they be in SCHOOL?”
“I dunno.”
“We could ask them.”
“…….”
“………….”
“………..we could ask Kurosaki?”
“…..”
“………”
“Maybe they’re aliens! Like Invasion of the Body Snatchers!”
“Okay, now you’re just being dumb.”
By the end of the day, Ichigo had to let the ‘new students’ know that, beyond the shadow of a doubt, “I hate you guys.”
