Summary: The King of Not Smooth
If there was any one person Neji felt he could depend on to give serious and useful advice for his rare and uncertain questions, he thought if would be Shino. But when he found Ten Ten walking passed him, Shino’s words made him feel foolish.
But, Neji told himself, I gave my word that I would do as I was instructed. I CAN go through with this.
So he walked up beside Ten Ten, cleared his throat, blushed, and tried to look just as serious as ever: “If I told you you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?”
He certainly didn’t expect Ten Ten to stop in her tracks, look up at him speechlessly before collapsing to the ground, pounding her fists and wailing with laughter.
Face burning, Neji swore to himself that Shino wouldn’t live to see another day. A hand groped at his pant leg and, with a sigh, he helped Ten Ten to her feet.
He was surprised when she invited herself under his arm. “If I did,” she said, flushed and breathless, “will you promise not to get angry?”
Flush not receding in the least, Neji figured he could let Shino see ONE more day.
