Title: Movement in Three Parts

Summary: Because I wanted to write a play badly and because I dote horribly on these guys XDD
Togano
‘Keep ‘im threatened,’ Hiruma told them. Their opponent’s regular quarterback was out with a twisted knee. Their replacement didn’t do well under pressure. ‘So threaten ‘im,’ Hiruma said, ‘like you want his lunch money.’
They scowled at him for that but did what they were told. Taking up their positions, Kurita and Togano shifted their targets one man over. When the ball snapped, Kurita bowled over the surprised defense like a train. Togano, however, wasn’t nearly as huge or experienced in dealing with simultaneous blocking. But years of fighting helped to come up with just as useful techniques.
He took the one in the middle at an angle, forcing him to one side until he sprawled him out over the flailing arm of one of Kurita’s crushed defenders. A second attempted to dash around and keep the attackers from breaching the line.
Scrawny kid for a defensive back- probably a tight end. Togano stretched his arms, one grabbing the kid’s jersey, the other practically clotheslining him. He heaved the kid into the two-man pile, keeping the lot of them from scrambling to their feet. He grinned as, around him, Juumonji and Kuroki leaped through the shattered wall.
Juumonji
Other enders saw them running through the fallen defense and tried to move in- most turned their attention to Kurita when he lumbered back on his feet, thinking him a big (ahah) threat. Two still narrowed their attack to Juumonji and Kuroki. The first he caught by the shoulder pads and redirected into the ground three feet behind him. The second, however, had the look of a veteran who ate guys Juumonji’s size for a midnight snack.
Risking a quick glance, he saw the quarterback glancing at his receivers in panic, both of which closely covered by Monta and Ishimaru and Hiruma acting as the safety.
‘Keep ‘im threatened’, huh? No problem.
He slipped under the defender’s outstretched hands, tucked his head down and sprang up, slamming his helmet so hard into the other’s sternum if knocked his breath out and left Juumonji temporarily dizzy.
But the path to the quarterback was clear and- stumbling clear of grabbing hands –he charged the panicked kid. He saw Juumonji coming for him and lobbed the ball away just before he was hit with a flying tackle. But on the way down, Juumonji just grinned.
Kuroki
The quarterback went down with a shoulder embedded in his guy but Kuroki had his eyes on the ball. Hours of practice with Hiruma throwing deliberate interceptions and passes he still claimed they should’ve caught set Kuroki’s body moving on its own. He leapt straight up, hands tight around the ball as his body snapped it from the air. He was running almost before his feet touched the ground.
He was, by football standards, not a fast runner. But with nothing between him and the end zone, he wouldn’t let himself live it down if he screwed this up- not counting the grief he’d get from his buddies (or worse, Hiruma).
80 yards never seemed so far before and he could hear feet fast approaching under the noise of the crowd. He looked over his shoulder and saw their runners taking down his pursuers. Sena, keeping a steady pace a few yards back, gave him a supporting grin, keeping certain no one else would come near.
Kuroki pounded into the end zone, raising the ball as the crowd got on their feet and roared. When Sena slapped his back, Kuroki threw the boy in a headlock, subjecting both of them to the rest of the team as the jumped on their shoulders.
‘Keep ‘im’ threatened’? Hell yeah, he could do that.
