I don't like the idea that RvB seems to be leaning toward in that CT joined Project Freelancer with the intent on betraying it since the beginning, but that doesn't mean I can't work with it.
Title: Archetypes
Fandom: Red vs Blue
Rating: G
Word Count: 209
Characters: CT, references to Freelancers and Insurrectionists
Summary: Because I'm apparently assigning personalities to the Insurrectionists despite knowing they'll show up later this season.
People aren't complicated. They're not surprising or unique. The universe is vast enough and the population numerous enough that everyone falls into patterns of behavior, making each just echoes of each other. The ones that were friendly and warm and open and turned everything into a joke. The ones that took everything too seriously and expected to be obeyed, respected by everyone. The ones that were unflappable and distant enough to hang along the edges making sharp remarks. The ones that said little but were always in the thick of it, vibrant in their silence. The ones that took everything as a challenge and always seemed to have something to prove to someone or to themselves. The ones that edged somewhere between reserved and awkward, who would look at her with quiet eyes and soft little smiles, not quite daring to be daring enough on her behalf.
There was nothing special about these Freelancers. There were no sign regarding personalities. The only resemblance to her team- her actual team -was merely archetypes being recycled and nothing more. Connie knew this, reminded herself of this until whatever weak thing inside stopped wavering, was reinforced in concrete and steel and she could continue with her true duty without another thought.
