Another example of what happens when I get bored.
Title: (reality unbroken)
Fandom: Bleach
Rating: G
Word Count: 315
Characters: Kon
Summary: Reality doesn’t take kindly to interference.
Reality breaks for no man. It will bend, on occasion, allowing exemptions to simultaneously exist and not-exist. But reality is uncompromising and it will fix itself.
Kon had observed his surrounds in his entire existence. It was his nature, it was how he was created. He saw as those around him were destroyed, he saw himself moved from one place to another, he saw himself locked in darkness. And then he saw light and people and those who- in their own ways -excepted him. Or what they believed he was.
Reality excepted no flaws. The longer Neechan occupied that human host the more human she became. A part of reality wanted her out, making her control over the body harder with each passing day. A part of reality was pulling her completely into its fold, merging her with the body and effectively destroying two existences while creating a new one.
Kon observed his surroundings and found he was being pulled similarly. The existence of Ichigo was already too cemented to be pulled so unrealistically. Kon, occupying the body, found the memories that were crucial to the being of Ichigo- base personality, essential memories of his family and friends and upbringing -were beginning to make their way into his own mind.
There is no room for waste in reality. He was having trouble remembering how Neechan looked. He was having trouble remembering he was just a soul locked in a pill. Ichigo’s family had excepted Kon in his place, and when they called for him they believed he /was/ Ichigo and when Kon grumbled back it was less and less of an act.
Kon watched the little lion doll and tried to remember how things looked from that perspective. He couldn’t find the will to want to go back, even with all the implications it would bring.
And all the while reality ruthlessly and methodically mended.

I didn't even pause to think of how like was going back at the Kurosaki clinic as Ichigo and everyone go to rescue Rukia. And you wrote it very well. I always thought these drabbles were harder to do than the longer fics. You do it well.
