Title: Why Byakuya Hates Rukia #27
Fandom: Bleach
Rating: G
Word Count: 188
Characters: Byakuya
Summary: For the second
kurosaki_clinic Fan Challenge. Requested by
dosetsu. Another (possible) reason Byakuya dislikes Rukia. (by the way, the number is arbitrary :P)
Byakuya looked at himself in the mirror and sighed. Only five more left to go. He reached a hand up, ready to take down another, one more step complete-
“Kuchiki-dono!”
His hand stilled.
“Kuchiki-dono!” The servant cried again. Byakuya didn’t turn around, but he knew the man was bowing, head braced against the floor. “You must come now!”
Hiding a careful sneer, Byakuya said, “Not now.”
“But the ceremony is already starting!”
“I’m busy.”
The man, though a servant, was also a veteran in the Kuchiki household and knew how to get a job done. “That is why the master told us to wake you early.”
Byakuya frowned to himself. He didn’t like being woken early. He didn’t like servants telling him what to do. But most of all he didn’t like the head of the household looking and treating him like a child.
“Kuchiki-dono.” The servant pressed lightly. “You are late.”
“Fine.” Byakuya gritted out and bodily forcing himself away from the vanity. Without another word and with all the modesty he could must, he strode proudly to Rukia’s graduation with five curlers still in his hair.
