Title: Human Touch
Fandom: Naruto
Rating: PG-13 for light touching
Word Count: 268
Characters: Naruto and Sasuke
Summary: Late at night, after chapter 19. Innocent boys touching, er, innocently?
They fell into the first futon they came to. Oh, they were aware that they fell into the same one, but they were far too exhausted to care. All the running and expending their chakra. The trek back drained them of their reserve strength and puking up their dinners didn't help in the least.
So, soon after, Kakashi-sensei told them to sleep and wearily they complied. Sakura shook her head at them, wondering how they could run themselves ragged like that.
For a few minutes, they tried to fight over the small space, pushing rubber limbs against each other. Then they just grumbled, too tired to argue. Finally, somewhere in the course of falling asleep, they came to some sort of arrangement.
The two boys were on their stomachs, Sasuke half atop Naruto, a hand curled around the blonde's waist. The taller boy scrunched closer, the movement just enough to bring Naruto to some sense of awareness.
Awareness of the hand under his shirt, warm against his skin. Aware of the leg that hooked around his calf. Aware of the soft breath running through his hair. Aware that Sasuke apparently liked to cuddle.
Must be because he's lonely, Naruto thought belatedly. He, himself, never realized how nice it was to have someone curled against you until then. He never realized how much he wanted human contact until the simple presence of Sasuke against him made him realize just how lonely he really was. How lonely they both were.
He smiled to himself, curling deeper in Sasuke's arm and falling into a comfortable sleep where he was never alone.
