So, doing something slightly different for this challenge. Using my human version of the Wreckers, you the challenger get to pick a character and an age you'd like to see a short drabble of. As always, one prompt per person at a time. This will likely go on for a couple days or so, so once your prompt is fulfilled you can prompt for another one. Just don't mind the slow response times, please.

CHALLENGE CLOSED since I'll be away from my computer pretty much all day tomorrow and then I've got work on the weekend. I'll be finishing up the last couple prompts as soon as I can.

"Woooow, you're a big one!"

Temujin instinctively froze even as he knew his size made him pretty unmistakable. He wasn't supposed to be down in the loading docks moving cargo around, even if he was by far the strongest person in the company. Due to his status as company heir, Temujin was supposed to be observing everything, dealing with the forms and the like.

But once those were dealt with, he had nothing to do and after it took him so long convincing the older crew hands to allow him to help them out even a little, the last thing Temujin want was getting caught doing so and word being sent back to his parents.

Carefully setting the crate back, mouth set in a carefully flat line, the large man turned around, trying to think of a way to convince them not to speak of this.

He was surprised to see a young man in a military uniform looking at him with great curiosity. Temujin frowned in confusion, wondering why he was in the docks to begin with.

"Hey, not botherin' ya, am I?" The young man said with the widest grin Temujin had ever seen.

"Are you looking for something?" He rumbled back.

"Not really. Just got bored and decided to wander 'round," he looked around, observing everything around them. Crossing his arms he asked, "So you enjoy doin' this kinda stuff?"

"What do you mean?"

"Don't get me wrong- shipping's important work an' all. But I'm thinkin'..." here he made the impression of looking Temujin up and down and making a serious consideration, "that you could do a lot of good in the Security Force."

That got an upraised eyebrow. "Are you a recruiter?"

"Nah, just a guy that saw another guy who's really big an' powerful and thought I'd throw the offer out there."

Temujin couldn't help the hint of amusement coming over him. "I don't think my parents would be particularly happy with the idea."

"Well, that's you're parents," he shrugged. "Whadda you wanna do? I mean- I was kinda the same way. Already had a job and I made enough to survive comfortably so why would I go into the service, right? But I gotta say it did me a lot of good." He grinned up brightly and Temujin was surprised to find how easy it was to listen to him talk. "You can do just about any kind of job you want, you get to go to all sorts of places, meet different people and basically do things you wouldn't be able to do anywhere else! Lemme tell ya- I never knew I actually don't mind having responsibility thrown at me until I enlisted."

He leaned like he was telling Temujin an important secret. "I ain't gonna lie to ya, buddy. The thing that makes the service so great? Why people like me can roll with the bullshit thrown at us is because of the friends we make."

Temujin's breath caught, as if the word was a treasure he longed to find. "Friends?"

"From all over! I never would've imagined the kinda friends I have now and almost alla them are more important to me than my own family! We gotta depend on each other to survive- no stronger bond than the ones you'll find in the Security Force!"

Dark eyes slid to where the others were still working, seemingly more at ease now that the boss's son was no longer doing what he wasn't supposed to. Temujin turned back to the smaller man before him. "Your friends mean a lot, then?"
