So, doing something slightly different for this challenge. Using my human version of the Wreckers, you the challenger get to pick a character and an age you'd like to see a short drabble of. As always, one prompt per person at a time. This will likely go on for a couple days or so, so once your prompt is fulfilled you can prompt for another one. Just don't mind the slow response times, please.

CHALLENGE CLOSED since I'll be away from my computer pretty much all day tomorrow and then I've got work on the weekend. I'll be finishing up the last couple prompts as soon as I can.

"Ya know," Eric said, lounging back to back with Russo as the other man was keeping watch in the guard tower, "I'm starting to think my dad's gone crazy or senile."

"Is it possible he's gone both?"

"I don't really want him to go either, let alone both."

"Then why're you thinking that?"

Eric shrugged, looking at the mail file he'd received the night before. "He keeps talking like I went to Lenell State instead of the military."

Russo turned his head slightly. "Lenell? You mean the one on Mars? What'd you be doing at a posh school like that?"

"I was offered a full football scholarship."

Russo twisted around, jostling Eric from his back. "What? The hell you join the military for, then?"

Annoyed at his loss of back rest, Eric elbowed his buddy in the body armor. "'Cuz I got sick of school and I wanted to do other stuff, alright?"

"Shit, I can tell you why you're dad's acting like that. He wishes you went there instead of doing bullshit guard duty like this."

Pushing Russo back into position and settling himself again, Eric scowled at the data pad in his lap. "I wish. I'm kinda, I dunno, getting a bad vibe about all this."

"What's so bad?"

"Asides from my dad going weird, my mom talks about mundane house and work stuff that she knows I don't care about or what's going on in the neighborhood. She never talks about what she's doing and refuses to say anything about my sister who- by the way -I haven't gotten a letter from in at least three months."

"Hmmm," Russo lapsed into a thoughtful silence. "Why don't you use your leave and go see your family for once? I don't think you've ever been back there since you came in, did you? Not even when we were out back by Saturn."

"I dunno..." honestly, the idea of going back there kind of scared Eric. Especially because he was worried what this change of behavior in his family meant. "I'll think about it."

This is brilliant. I really hope you continue to write this AU because the tidbits you gibe us are so fascinating to read, especially compared to the parallels with your Wreckers verse.

Are most of the canon events similar to each other because I would adore to see how Springer interacts with Prowl or how her ends up with Arcee and Hot Rod.

Do you have all the backstory plotted out for your human AU?

All of the Wreckers' backstory has been plotted out for the most part, though only a few have been done with any real detail (that is, breaking it down by age, location, etc)

Most, if not all major events have some sort of analogous happening in the human AU. For example, Springer and Prowl did meet up in officer school and S/A/HR still occurs. Others things had to be changed around in order to fit the no-longer-neigh-immortal lifespan of humans such as Topspin is, in fact, an officially trained medical personnel and RB's social awkwardness is a phobia rather than an ingrained program (obviously)
