He was sticky. The events leading up to him being sticky didn’t really bother him much but the residual stickiness did.

Quick and Ring were still sprawled on the bed, snickering at Shadow as he padded about naked and sticky. They were in the same boat but (except for the nudity) less so. That probably annoyed Shadow, too. They certainly didn’t seem to mind getting messy so long as Shadow got the messiest. He could still feel the chocolate syrup in his hair.

“I’m taking a shower.” He told them sharply.

“I think he’s in a bad mood already.” Ring said. His hand trailed over Quick’s hip lightly.

“New record, isn’t it?”

He glared at the two, not thinking it worth the effort of explaining how he hates being sticky like this. Especially because he doesn’t mind the process of getting sticky and they absolutely knew it (and took great pleasure in it). Instead, he turned and headed to the shower. Then stopped and turned around again. Quick and Ring stopped about three steps away from him, grinning wickedly. He looked at them in accusation. “You want to shower with me, don’t you?”

“There won’t be a lot of showering going on, but yes.”

Shadow sighed. “Do what you want.”

Their grins grew- if possible –even more wicked. “In that case, we’re gonna need more than a shower.” Quick chirped happily.

“…as long as I’m not still sticky afterwards.”
