Ted stretched his head back, panting, trying to keep focused on Booster. His eyes snapped open wide and he grabbed Booster's hair, not noticing how sharply he pulled- all his attention was on the confused little face looking at them from over the back of the couch asking, "Are you making me a little brother?"

"This is ridiculous, this is moronic- it is a complete waste of time and resources and is, by far, the dumbest, most pointless thing you have ever forced me to do-"
Steph just rolled her eyes, slapping the plastic gun into Damian's hand as Tim pushed him into the blacklit room, "You will learn to have fun, Damian. Even if I have to kill you."

Michelle had always been generic- by the time she was born, so many genetic deficiencies had been engineered out and all the heroes Michael knew now were all so confident and larger-than-life which just enhanced their already perfect features. That was why, when a bartender said he was asked to give a drink to the most beautiful woman in the bar, she looked over her shoulder to see who had sat next to her.

Sometimes it was hard to tell when Dinah was making angry threats and when she was making sexy promises and when Ollie told her so, she leaned in close and said, "Maybe it's both."

She will tell him- absolutely one day she'll tell him that, after Power Girl had found him tied up in his office and half dead, Barbara had taken the liberty of installing cameras in his office and apartment.
(Though, with the way Ted's eyes flickered directly at where the camera in his bedroom was hidden, licked his lips and stroked himself so unabashedly, she was pretty sure Ted both knew and didn't care.)

Steph looked at the pile of gadgets on the table, then at her two partners, "All we have to do to pass this 'apprenticeship exam' is to use as many prototypes as we like and come back with ideas for improvements? I like this mentor already."

When Rip woke up from the workstation he fell asleep at, he found he had a costumed teddy bear in his arms; when he asked Rani about, she just shrugged and said, "You looked like you needed to hug something."

Booster hadn't meant it (well, he meant it, but he hadn't meant to do it because of social taboos in the time period) but Ted looked so... adorable with an eager grin wrapped around the screwdriver in his mouth and the way his eyes lit up as he gleefully studied one of Booster's blasters- Booster couldn't help it; couldn't stop that persistent crush he'd had on the older hero from manifesting into a chaste peck to the corner of his mouth...
Ted stared at him for a long, long moment, his expression unreadable before slowly taking the screwdriver out from between his teeth and said, "Let's try this again with my mouth free," before curling a hand behind Booster's neck and bringing him back down for a much nicer and farless chaste kiss.

When she asked if he wanted her to get his sister on the monitor, Booster got a little panicky and started blabbing something about not wanting to bother Michelle and he wasn't trying to be constantly nosing into her life or act like she needed to check in with him regularly or anything- Barbara cut him off with a laugh and a shake of her head, "Booster- she's your sister who is making her own way in life; that doesn't mean you can't talk to her every once in a while."

Damian marched up to them and stated very angrily that Rani had turned his alarm clock into a mobile, basic-function robot to which Steph replied, "What- you're complaining about it being awesome?"

When Ted very loudly questioned what made Booster think he was a better businessman (despite that fact they both knew Ted abhorred that part of business anyway) Booster just rolled his eyes and said, "When I lost my company, it was because it was stolen out from under me, not because I spent all my time being a superhero."

Booster was rather surprised that Beetle wasn't bemoaning the fact they'd left Helldorado without letting him take a gander at all them clockwork bits (or what was left of them); Beetle just shook his head and said, "Sometimes a time isn't ready for certain sciences- clockwork people are too dangerous for us now, and I'd be dangerous with clockwork people."

They watched Ted and James argue over whose fault the handcuffs were and then watched that argument turn into a wrestling match; eventually Booster or Piper (they couldn't remember which one and, really, the other one was thinking the same thing anyway) said, "This may turn out better than I anticipated."
